Celebrating Michelangelo Antonioni

To celebrate the centenary of Michelangelo Antonioni's birth, the Italian Cultural Institute has organized an exhibition on the great Italian movie director, screenwriter, editor, writer and painter. Antonioni represents one of the main figures of the motion-picture culture in Italy and also worldwide. The project is in collaboration with the Museum of Moving Image, the Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo' NYU, the Queens College City University of New York and CinecittaLuce.
The schedule includes a series of cultural initiatives such as
=Screening the film The Girlfriends (1955), with subtitles in English, at the Italian Cultural Institute on March 29th, 2012 at 5:30pm.
-Screening the documentaries of Antonioni at the Museum of Moving Image on April 8th-9th (TBC);
-A symposium at  NYU Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo' (TBA).
