New TLC series "Mama's Boys of the Bronx" premieres April 9

(Mar 14, 2012)

Mama's Boys of the Bronx, TLC's new series, premieres Mon., April 9, 10 p.m. ET and follows five successful thirty-something Italian-American men who all grew up together and also all share an unusual living situation: They still live with their moms. And they're not ashamed of it. The new eight-episode series follows 36-year-old Anthony and his mom Patti; Frankie, 38, and his mom Gina; Chip, 36, and his mother Camille; 38-year-old Giovanni and his Aunt Gina; and Peter, 28, and his dad Gus. Anthony recently gave up his position as manager of a car dealership to pursue his dream of producing a cartoon about his neighborhood. Meanwhile, Patti, a longtime employee of the MTA, spends her free time hanging out with her three sisters.
Frankie, like his mom Gina, loves to cook. The family makes their own tomato sauce and homemade wine. By day, Frankie is a construction worker and Gina works part-time at a local deli. Chip, the jokester of the group, owns a gym, where he works as a personal trainer. TLC describes Camille as "our kooky cat lady," who spends her time caring for the neighborhood feral cat community. Giovanni is an aspiring fashion designer and his Aunt Gina works as a bookkeeper for a local hospital. Peter, a struggling actor, makes his money working as a substitute physical education teacher. TLC describes Gus as a "self-made man" who loves to travel.
