The Triangle Fire Open Museum Open House March 20

(Mar 19, 2012)

The Triangle Fire Open Museum is the tangible incarnation of the online Triangle Fire Open Archive, which explores the personal, political and historical legacy of the 1911 Triangle Fire through community-contributed objects. The Open Museum shows real and replica objects from the Open Archive in locations across the city that critically connect to issues of immigrant, women’s and labor rights. The museum is being launched at the NYU Open House from March 20-March 25, and will then make its way out into the city to its initial eight host sites.

Take a self-guided tour to find all the objects around the city starting March 30, 2012
The Open Museum is hosted at: The Tenement Museum, The City Reliquary,The New York City Fire Museum, Workers United, Museum of Chinese in America, and The Murphy Center, CUNY
