Celebrating Michelangelo Antonioni @ 100

To celebrate the centenary of Michelangelo Antonioni's birth, the Italian Cultural Institute in New York City  has organized a screening of the great Italian movie director, screenwriter, editor, writer and painter. Antonioni represents one of the main figures of the motion picture culture in Italy and worldwide. The project is a collaboration with the Museum of Moving Image, the Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo' NYU, Queens College, City University of New York, and CinecittaLuce. The schedule includes a series of cultural initiatives such as: the projection of the film Le Amiche (The Girlfriends; 1955), with subtitles in English, at the Italian Cultural Institute on March 29th, 2012 at 5:30pm; the projection of the documentaries of Antonioni at the Museum of Moving Image on April 8th-9th (TBC); the symposium at the NYU Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo' (TBA).
